Why renting a tennis ball
machine is a better option for some people.
For most
people that buy a tennis ball machine finding
the time to use it is an issue.
In theory the idea of owning your own
ball machine might have looked good, but the
reality is often different.
Comparing owning your own ball machine to
renting one is like comparing owning your own
vacation home to having to rent homes for your
vacation needs.
Here are some of the pro’s and con’s of
renting a ball machine:
Pro:
-
For most people renting a
ball machine is going to be far cheaper than
buying one.
-
You usually don’t have
transport the ball machine.
Typically it’s located where you will
be using it.
-
The ball machine will
typically be setup at a location where using
it will not bother other tennis players on
nearby courts.
This is one of the big problems with
taking your own ball machine to your typical
public tennis court.
-
You don’t have to worry
about maintaining the ball machine,
recharging it, or fixing it if it needs
repair.
-
You don’t have to keep
supplying the balls that the machine wares
out.
-
You don’t have to find a
place to store it (where it also can be
recharged).
Con:
-
If you really want to use
a ball machine a lot then renting one will
get expensive.
-
If renting a machine you’ll
need to travel to the location to use it.
-
A rental machine may not
always be available when you want to use it.
-
You are less likely to
rent ball machine for short workouts, or for really long practices.
-
You are more likely to
learn how to use the ball machine to its
fullest potential if you own it.
